Abstract

This work aimed to analyze youth as a metaphor of culture nowadays. It is a theoretical research, based on psychoanalysis since Freud and Fábio Herrmann, author who allows us to realize a recuperation of the psychoanalytical method in the analysis of the contemporary culture. In this frame of references, culture is the materialized, concrete and always active psyche, it is the symbolic human real. Identity is the portion of real that is kidnapped inside of the subject, and that strives to
represent reality. From the readings performed, we verified that the adolescent and the young metaphorize in themselves the dissonances of the sociocultural field, context in which they display their identities, as well as the crisis of legitimation that devastates society and culture today.
